Lest We Forget

With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children,
England mourns for her dead across the sea.
Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,
Fallen in the cause of the free.
Solemn the drums thrill; Death august and royal
Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres,
There is music in the midst of desolation
And a glory that shines upon our tears.
They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted;
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
They mingle not with their laughing comrades again;
They sit no more at familiar tables of home;
They have no lot in our labour of the day-time;
They sleep beyond England’s foam.
But where our desires are and our hopes profound,
Felt as a well-spring that is hidden from sight,
To the innermost heart of their own land they are known
As the stars are known to the Night;
As the stars that shall be bright when we are dust,
Moving in marches upon the heavenly plain;
As the stars that are starry in the time of our darkness,
To the end, to the end, they remain.

Bunny of death update!

Or as my brother has taken to singing every time he sees me with it Evil Bunny! I'm waiting on him coming up with a dance to go with it! (Yes a 23 year old man singing and dancing to a cross stitch!). I had planned to be finished this by the time I go back to work but as usual I got distracted! However I know I'm close to being finished! I have a full day tomorrow before my Holiday ends to work on it!

However thought turns to the Egyptian Piece and what to stitch on it. My aforementioned brother thinks I should stitch a Yu-Gi-Oh piece! I think (being a giant anime geek)  its the greatest idea ever but I dont think the lady in my RR would appreciate a piece of Japanese anime about an Egyptian Pharaoh playing a children card game!

 My distraction had been put aside for the moment so i can work on the bunny unreservedly. I did get a good  portion of the beads done before I put her away!

Although I can't walk past her without running my hand over the beads and cooing So pretty lol!

Trick or Treat!

 The beading has begun on this bad boy lol! I have to bead as I go otherwise it's one of my worst nightmares! I'd be tearing my hair out if I had to bead all at once! Especially on a bead heavy pattern like this one!

 I'm not too sure of the back stitch on her gloves. It was supposed to be 2 strands but I felt it was just too overpowering!

I'm waiting on PTB coming tomorrow in place of Kreinik. It just does not agree with me!

As you have probably guessed by now I survived the Craft Fair as did my bank balance! As for my haul, actually I didn't get too much! I saw a full kit of Joan Elliott's crescent dragon for only £25. Which I'd have totally paid (even though I would have swapped out the aida for evenweave). However they didn't have any in stock! I went round the fair a couple times wondering why none of the sellers stocked chart only patterns. It seamed silly to me no one had Mira's or Joans books! Then I saw a stall with HAED's and I may have knocked a few people over to get into it and they had Mira's and PR's!!!! However none really really jumped out at me but I did pick up Mira's Crystal Symphony and Lavender and Lace Celtic Autumn.

I love the bead stalls too and found one from spellbound bead co! It was so pretty done up like a little enchanted forest! I picked up a couple of containers of seed beads to substitute for mill hills and a necklace kit! I don't know why I bought the kit I don't know how to make jewellery and I suspect I picked up one of the hardest kits there!!! How and ever I shall have a bash!
